Weight Training classes are designed with the best interest of EACH student's needs. Each student is placed into a category according to whether or not they are a Non-Athlete, Out of Season Athlete, or In-Season athlete. Once student's category has been established, the student now has their very own weekly exercise program. Each program consists of strength training 2x weekly, cardio/footwork 2x weekly, and core. Out of season and Non athletes are also given once a week a "day off" in which they may choose any activity they wish as long as they are staying active thus minimizing the possibility of over training and mental fatigue. In season athletes have competition days which include game day specific drills and exercising which have been proven to maximize potential during the contest.
Effort and No Dresses...
Students MUST dress and participate with their best effort daily to receive full credit. Each student is allowed one NO DRESS a marking period. On the day of the No Dress the student will receive a "0" in the grade book and is expected to do work in another class. EACH no dress beyond the one allotted will result in the reduction of the students final grade by ONE whole letter. It IS IMPERATIVE that they are dressing and exercising to their fullest potential!!
